Love the "Fluff"

We are now "officially" cloth diapering Cooper.  I have kind of a smorgasbord of diapers right now until I figure out what I like and what works for us.  So far, so good.  I have yet to have a cloth diaper leak.

As of now, I am a fan of the "hybrid" diapers.  These are the gDiapers, Flip, and GroBaby (now GroVia but I have older ones that I bought used).  In fact, I have bought nearly all these diapers used and have paid only a fraction of retail cost!! Yay!!

Right now we have:
4 All in One (AIO) Babyland SpongeBob diapers (one is not pictured)
1 Happy Heinys Pocket - Great diaper. (Cow print)
1 Pocket Babykick - I do NOT like this diaper - it is going in the sell pile (white w/ blue snaps) It just doesn't fit Cooper well...
2 BumGenius 3.0 Pockets - Love these.  (Blue and Green)
1 Econobum - We haven't tried it yet...
2 Gro-Baby - Orange and the striped one in the last blog (not pictured) - I am undecided about these.  I love the system, but the older inserts are kinda rough and bunch up really bad when washed.  I am going to buy a couple of the new inserts and give them a try...
1 Flip - we are trying it out today after nap (green)
8 gDiapers - These are my favorite so far.  We have Orange, Green, Blue, and Cream colored ones.
Other - lots of gCloth inserts (which I can use in any of the above mentioned diapers), gLiners, 5 prefolds (the old timey fold in thirds diapers), extra GroBaby insert and soakers.

We are quickly getting the hang of it and have even started to use cloth outside of the house!!

Nine Months Ago...

a little teeny tiny lump of squishy perfect little baby was born.  Today, that same sweet, squishy little lump is a full speed ahead, big sister terrorizing, cabinet emptying dude.  See for yourself...

You can probably guess how it went when I tried to stick a post it not to Cooper... it ended up on his back, and since Quentin took all the "neutral" post-its to work with him, Cooper got a tulip... HA HA!

Yesterday, Cooper had his 9 month check up complete with NO shots!! Yay!!

Cooper weighed 15lb 9oz and was 28 3/4 in tall.

I got in a little "tiff" with the doctor as she accused me of not feeding Cooper enough.  She told me that he had lost weight from his last weight (at his 6 mo check up) and that it was unacceptable.  I immediately went on the offensive and threw a fit.  If I had not reacted so emotionally, I would have come to this realization...

Cooper did not weigh 15lb 11oz at 6 months.  That is what he weight a couple weeks ago when I took him in for an ear check and they weighed him with his clothes on.  I just looked.  The day of Cooper's 6 mo check up I posted that he weighed 14lb 5oz.  I think I will call and DEMAND an apology.  Not really, but wouldn't that be nice :-)

Anyway, he is still a shrimp, long ans skinny.  I think it will be the story of his life...

USS Carr - West Palm Beach

Quentin  has more pictures, but of course they are on his laptop, and well.... that requires more effort thanI am putting in right now...

"Daddy's Work Boat" made it home about 8:30 yesterday morning, and since Ady slept until 7:45, we barely got there in time to see the tug boats push them pierside.  Ady was VERY happy to have her daddy home!!

This was from a West Palm Beach news station, of course, Quentin is the next guy to the left that didn't make it into the picture...

This ship is a British Air Craft Carrier that was participating in an exercise.

That is West Palm Beach in the background.

Well, I did it again....

I let a month slip by without blogging.  Sigh.  I am not sure where all the hours go in the day, but one thing is for sure...I needs more of them.

There are going to be some gaps in pictures, so there are faar more on Facebook.  Luckily, the laptop decided to crap out and I had to reformat and start from scratch.  I was able to get all our pictures and documents off before hand, but they are all now on the external hard drive which is 2 more cords for Cooper to get tangled in under my feet so.... they are just gonna stay there.  I have some newer pictures that I will post here but the are all from July.

Things are business as usual.  Cooper is sleeping better, we are down to 2 wake ups a night (most nights) and he has even gone a couple nights with only one wake up.  Now we are battleing the leaky diaper disaster, and I have to change Cooper (diaper and onsie) and the bed sheets (which I just layer 3 waterproof sheets so all I have to do is pull one off and put him back to bed) every night.  I have tried every diaper known to man and to no avail.  He is not big enough for the Huggies Overnights (they start at sz 4 and he is on the small end of sz 3) that worked wonders for Ady.  Oh well.  Sigh.  There have been nights that it is tempting to put a leftover sz 6 overnight diaper on top of his sz 3, but I havent' done it yet.  :)

Quentin is still out to sea, but I will post a seperate blog with all those pictures next.  We expect him home Sunday.  Thank GOD!!

(Okay - so I wrote this a week ago but finally got the pictures to post....sheesh!! Me and Google were NOT getting along for a few days...)
