"Party like it's your birthday!!"

We celebrated Adyson's birthday today. She, of course, had a SpongeBob Party. Complete with a SpongeBob cake. All was fun and games until we started cutting the cake to serve it and Ady said "SpongeBob Owwwie!!"
Here's the cake.

We opened presents...here is Adyson buried in a sea of presents. She had lots of helpers to help open presents. She received lots of clothes, 2 or 3 bubble sets, a HUGE sidewalk chalk set, a dress up dress and shoes, Handy Manny truck and chair, a singing puppy dog, a See 'n Say...and probably some other stuff I am forgetting...
We borrowed a blow up bounce house from Quentin's co-worker. Needless to day it was hit in a house full of eight 5 and under kiddos!! Here is Ady bouncing around.

Daddy had to help Ady blow the candles out, maybe nest year she will understand the concept... Quentin did get her to help blow though!

When the partying was done and the "friends" (that is what Ady said, "bye friends") had gone home, Ady was all tuckered out. She her is snoozing with MeMa Carla. It didn't take long and everyone in the house (besides me of course) was snoozing.

All in all it was a great party, and we are definitely buying on of these inflatable bounce houses!!

Random Adyson Fun

I don't actually remember what this face was about, but clearly something disgusted Adyson. :)

Adyson always loves to have her pictures taken and she always wants me to take pictures of her body parts. She always says "Hair Piturrr" "Butt Piturr" "Bo-Bo (that means elbow at our house) Piturr"... This time it was her feet. So here are Adyson's pretty toenails...

And one wasn't enough, so here is the bottom of her foot... "Foot Piturr"

She is chewing (well more like holding in her mouth and making herself drool) one of those nasty Valentine's Day Heart Candies. She loves those things although I think they are gross. She always begs for "Mo Hart"

I asked her what she was eating...this was her response.

She isn't rotten at all...not at all. :)

Granny Sally's Visit

Quentin's mom, Sally, is here to visit for Adyson's (and her) birthday. She got a wild hair up her rear and decided that we should make Piggy banks for Adyson (and Brady and Drew)!! It was pretty much a disaster in the beginning, but we finally got it all together and made piggy banks. Ady's is pink (of course) with butterflies on it, Brady's was blue with Thomas the Train on it, and Drew's was blue and green with John Deere tractors on it. I realized I didn't take a picture of theirs, but I got Ady saving her "mo money" "mo money" with Granny.

Early Birthday...

Adyson received a package from Grandma Cheryl on Wednesday of this past week. Of course, I knew it included her birthday presents and I opened it up to see if they were wrapped or if I needed to wrap them. It was all over after that, so Ady got a "pratice" session if gift opening...

She insisted on not letting me get a good picture of her with her eyes open... what else if new?

Oh NO!! Ady got a tent!!

...and a tunnel. So, Mommy was going crazy trying to keep an almost-two-year-old busy all day every day, and this is by far the best $40 I have spent in a long, long time.
Ady cruising through the tunnel, after she went through a few times, Shasta even chased her through it a couple times!!

It is a little "static-y" in the tent, here is Ady's hair sticking to the tent.

She pretty much went bonkers over the tent as soon as I opened it up. Luckily for me it is "pop-up" and it super easy to put up and take down. Although, to be honest, I haven't taken it down since I put it up the first day!! She puts all her babies to bed in the tent and loves to steal pots and pans from the cabinet and "hide" them in there... It really is non-stop fun!!
There is a hole in the top of the tent that you can "shoot hoops" in to. I took this picture looking down into the tent from the top. She was rolling around going crazy. I cannot believe I actually got a pic of her looking up she was moving around so much!

Here is a full view of the tent. (and all her other toys that have completely taken over my living room - Ha! I mean "Ady's play room")

Since it is pop-up, it is pretty flexible and she has tipped it over several times. She just laughs and finds the hole so she can get out.

Keeping busy when it is cold outside

Since it is wintery cold outide these days, I have resorted to all sort of strang ways to entertain Adyson. We clean house (Ha! She messes up what I just cleaned), she takes lots of baths (with bubbles of course), we empty the toy box at least once a day just to see what toys are hiding in there, and Adyson loves to hide in the kitchen cabinets.

One day, all these fun ideas were not enough for Ady, she made up her own game, "See how many times she can crawl in and out of the pop up hamper before it rips." She played this game for about an hour. I watched and laughed and took pictures (obviously).

On several occasions she got herself stuck, a couple times to the point she almost started crying. The handle you see here caused most of these hangups, as it fit perfectly around her head.

Hiding from Mommy when I tried to put it away.

One more close up. I finally talked her into "helping" me carry the hamper up the stairs where we filled it with stuffed animals (my original intentions). Now every time we go upstairs she dumps out the stuffed animals and "hides" in the hamper!

Playtime with Brady

Adyson and Brady love, love, love to play and play. Here are a few pictures taken back in January of the kiddos playing at Brady's house in his tent and tunnel.
Ady crawling through the tunnel

Ahhhhh!!! It is Cookie Monster Brady!! He has just enjoyed himself a chocolate chip cookie :)

And no night of playing would ever be complete without a hug. We can't seem to ever catch them kissing eachother on camera...

In the next picture of the sequence...Brady is pushing Ady away...too many hugs leads to a bad case of cooties!!
