Washington DC

Over Veteran's Day weekend, we decided (at the last minute) to take a trip to DC.  I found a great hotel on Hotwire.com about 6 blocks from the White House for $89 a night!  Woot!  Turns out parking was a disaster, but we figured it all out and had a great time.  Our main "destination"  was the Museum of Natural History.  Adyson has been obsessed with bones and skeletons since Halloween and we thought it would be fun to go see dinosaur bones!!  There have also been episodes of her favorite shows (Sid the Science Kid and Curious George) with bones and dinosaurs so she was pretty excited to get to see them.

On Saturday, we walked about 8 miles all over the National Mall.  We saw the White House, Museum of Natural History, National Air and Space Museum, the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial,  Arlington Cemetery, Iwo Jima, and the Navy Memorial.  (I think that is everything) Adyson of course LOVED the museums, rode the carousel, and was totally restless in the hotel!  Cooper was a trooper too, hanging out in the stroller and not fussing too much.

Here is Ady, spotting the dinosaurs for the first time!

We also drove by Georgetown Cupcakes (from the TLC show DC Cupcakes) but the line was seriously all the way around the block, so we looked and kept on driving!
