Adyson had a Thanksgiving Feast at school on Wednesday. All the kids dressed up as Pilgrims or Indians. Ady wanted to be an Indian. So here she is!
For their feast, they had popcorn, candy corn, applesauce, and a cupcake!
For Thanksgiving Day, Quentin had to go into work just to make sure everything was all set for the meal on the ship so the kids and I registered (and ran of course) the Turkey Trot 10K. I have to admit, I really thought there was no way I would be able to run much more than half and would be crawling across the finish line. I actually did great. My time was 1:24 and some odd seconds! Not too shabby. In case you are wondering 10K is 6.2 miles. Yesterday I was pretty sore and today I am still a little stiff.... but DANG it felt good to cross that finish line! The official pictures from the race haven't been posted and of course I forgot my camera so I stole this picture from my friend Andrea! Andrea set a new personal record at this race! This was right before the race started. Quentin stuck around until about 5 minutes before the start and then he headed to work. We went and had Thanksgiving Dinner on the ship after the race!
You rock! You're a runner now! Who would have ever guessed!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job, Jackie! I wouldn't have been able to finish 1/4 of a mile before passing out!! :D Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, and that Ady enjoyed her Thanksgiving feast. She sure does make a cute Indian!! :)
