Another month...

has nearly come and gone.  I do not know where the time goes!  In fact, as I was just looking back on the blog I realized that I had not even posted Cooper's one year stats...  So that's where we will start!

Cooper's one year check up was on October 29th.  He weighed in at 19 pounds 5 oz.  Yes! He is still a shrimp.  He was 31+ inches tall and still on the <10% growth curve.  Luckily he was a complete maniac at the appointment and the doctor had no real questions about why he hadn't gained much weight between 9 and 12 month check-ups.  It was clear that he NEVER sits still.  He did recommend that we give Cooper one 8 oz bottle/cup of Pediasure a day and that would help with his calorie intake.  He LOVES the Vanilla Pediasure so it has worked out well.  He is also a fan of Banana and Chocolate, but not real sure about the Strawberry!  He got all of his immunizations and the first round of the flu vaccine.   He was slated to go back and get the 2nd shot yesterday but since both kids have Strep that didn't happen.  Long story short, we took Cooper to the ER with a 104+ fever.  They diagnosed it as a virus and sent us home with instructions to manage the fever.  He continues to be miserable for a few days.  Just as things were looking up, I noticed a rash on the back of Ady's neck.  Adyson had been showing cold symptoms for about a week but I never suspected anything more.  After all, it is THAT time of year!  That night, Cooper also started getting the rash so I made them an appointment.  As soon as they looked at Adyson they said they were going to test for Strep.  (Apparently the rash is an indicator in young kids) It is also referred to as Scarlet Fever.  Cooper's rash was a little different so they did also diagnose him with Roseola (which is what I has thought they both had since Ady has had it before) and told me to expect his rash to turn more "rough" like Ady's before it was all over.  They are both on Amoxicillin and seem to be feeling fine.

The weather is turning cooler (some days) and we have finally had to break out our coats.  This "daddy jacket" has been in the closet through 4 moves and FINALLY Ady is big enough to wear it.  This coat was one of the first things we bought when I was pregnant with Adyson.  It was a good deal, and you all know I can't pass one of those up!!

Indoor smores!!

Of course, Ady only wants to catch the marshmallows on fire. She could care less about eating the actual smores!
