MMMMMmmmmmmm Spaghetti

No explaination necessary...enjoy!

Accessory Queen

Adyson tends to dress herself up. She usually puts on mismatched shoes (or Mommy or Daddy's shoes) and random hats and such. On this particular day, it was nice warm (as shown by the lack of sleeves on Ady's dress) she decided she needed to wear a hat and gloves.

Here she is putting her hat on, it usually takes a few attempts because she ends up holding it closed when she tries to put it on...

And what outfit is complete without "Dora" gardening gloves?!?!

15W5D Appointment

Well, there isn't too much to report today. I had an appointment, all is well. I have lost 5 pounds (which is a whole lot better than gaining) but now the doc thinks I need to count calories to make sure I am getting at least 2000 a day.

Quentin was able to go with me today, and we got to hear the heartbeat with the doppler (although the Med student had a hard time finding it) and all sounds well. They didn't measure it, for two reasons: 1) they had a hard time finding it and 2) they baby was moving all over so once they did find it, it was gone...

My next appointment is on June 10th. I will have an ultrasound at 1:15 and doctor appointment at 2:20. This will be the BIG ultrasound. We should know (as long as the little one is cooporative) whether Ady will be getting a little brother or sister.

I can't wait to post all about it!!!

The wait is over...

After a 3 month wait... we are finally ready to announce that Adyson is going to be a
BIG SISTER!!!

This is by far the hardest "secret" I have ever had to keep, and although I made a few slip-ups here and there...most people didn't know until they got the above card in the mail! Ha Ha!

We have known since Valentine's day, that we would be expecting a Halloween baby. My "official" due date is October 30, 2009. So far everything has gone very well with this pregnancy and I have had no complications. My next appointment is May 13th and I will be 15 1/2 weeks. Right now, our BIG ultrasound is scheduled for June 22nd (I will be 22 weeks). My OB office will not do the ultrasound until I am 20 weeks, and since Quentin was scheduled to be out of town, I pushed it back until he would be able to come too. Well, now he will be home (love the military) and I haven't been able to reschedule it just yet.

BROWNIES!!

(cooked or not) are a girl's best friend!!!

I was trying to get her to smile... this is the pose she struck :)
"Mommy, you eat!" I didn't move quick enough, and she even got some on the camera!

MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

These pictures are reversed, so this is the beginning and the top ones are after she had the spatula for a while :) Not that the mess on her face didn't already tell that story!

Silly Faces

I think she was eating some candy here, but I am not sure about the "gang sign" she is putting on there... Probably some secret code between her and her toddler friends :)

SSSSSOOOOOUUUUURRRRR!!!! "Ady not like" I am sure she spit whatever this was out immediately after making this face...

Usually this look is accompanied by "Momm-meeeeeee!!! I want __________" Usually candy or a mint, but this is her "I want" face and dance :)

And last but not least, she is the queen of rolling her eyes. I wish I could take credit for catching this look, but Aunt Shannon actually got this shot. I usually miss them and ger her after she is done rolling her eyes...

Turtle Sandbox

Adyson went shopping (gasp!) and she spent some of her Christmas money on a new sandbox! I can't believe this dumb thing cost $50 but it has a lid when the $10 plastic pools do not, so we caved and bought it. Six bags of sand later, she was having fun!!

We decided to put the sandbox on the front porch so that she could play while we mow, or plant flowers, or whatever else. Although, I am thinking now we might move it (HA! sounds fun!) to the back yard so that someone doesn't have to sit with her at all times. Shasta has been been going crazy when she is locked up inside and she knows we are on the front porch.

Unfortunately, Ady's favorite thing to do when she is "ply in dirt" it to scoop it into the flower beds and carry loads into the house and garage. We sweep the entry way every day.

Spring is here!!

We planted a ton of tulip bulbs back in October. They sprouted and quickly became a beautiful showing of pink, purple, and yellow!!
Here is a view of our front porch.

Of course, no spring would be complete without a ton of wind. Here are some of the early bloomers falling apart in the wind.

This color was my favorite, of course I do not know the scientific name for it, but they were really pretty when they were fully bloomed.

This is the last good picture I got of them. The wind has been blowing 30 mph for the last 3 days, so now I have a flower bed full of green stalks and no tulips on top... I did however move the green bush you see below and planted a rose bush. I will get some pictures of it up soon.

Water Puddles and Rainbows

We had a pretty good round of thunderstorms come through the other evening and of course, after the weather had cleared, we had to go play in the puddles...with SpongeBob sunglasses on of course.

It was still pretty windy, but Ady didn't seem to mind. There is a pretty big puddle that always forms at the corner of our street in front of Brady's house. It was perfect for jumping and splashing and of course getting soaking wet!!

Once the sun came out, there was a awesome rainbow right outside the back door! It was huge, so much so that I could not get the entire rainbow in the picture, I had to take it in halves. After a few minutes there was a second rainbow that appeared just above the first one...you can see them both in this picture.

The other half of the rainbow, with the second one above it.

The arch of the rainbow...this is about as much as I could fit in one frame form my back door. It was still raining so I didn't go outside to try to get a better picture.

Adyson wasn't really sure about what this thing was. She just kept saying "pretty colors sky" (She is still lacking connecting words in her sentences). I tried to get her to say "rainbow" but she wasn't interested...

Playing with Brady

Adyson convinced Brady that the dog kennel was a fun place to play. Adyson plays in there all the time, but I think Brady has had enough...

Whoo Hoo!!! Giddy up Daddy!! Check out Drew on Brendan's lap...just hanging out watching the big kids be crazy!! I am pretty sure we were watching some of the American Idol auditions during this chaos...

Pucker up!! Ady was wild this day. I think she must have given Brady a million hugs and kisses. Brady was getting tired of it, and started running away. I don't blame him!! :)

Peeking over the back of the couch at me. These two are crazy when they get together!!

SpongeBob Sunglasses

Adyson is completely addicted to her SpongeBob sunglasses. I kid you not, she eats, drinks, sleeps, and plays with these glasses on. We do not leave the houe without them!!

Here is Adyson, she had fallen asleep on the couch, with her glasses on of course!

And in the bath.... Sunglasses have to be washed, too.
Nap time.

And again...

Fun in the Sun

Finally!! The weather is getting nice enough around here that we have been able to play outside!! Here are a few pictures taken during the month of March of Adyson, out and about. No day is complete without cruising at least one (if not both) of her John Deere tractors. She loves to go way too fast on this one, and often wrecks. She is getting so good at wrecking these days that she pretty much instantly gets up and says "Its okay, Mommy" and goes on about her business - except when she wreck it good. Then she still calls out for Mommy :)

The park is pretty much Ady's favorite place these days. As soon as she wakes up from her nap everyday it is the same story. "Mommmmmmmeeeeee" to tell me she is awake and wants me to come get her. "Miwlk" She always has to have her milk right after she wakes up. I change her diaper, and when she gets up she goes to the window and looks out. "Mommmeeeeee, play park" "park" "park" "peeeaaaaaasssseeeeee" And then we usually go to the park - weather permitting, of course.

She loves to look out the holes in the tunnel. She always says "Mommeeee Ady hide"

And of course, no day would be complete without a ride on the ol' Gator with SpongeBob. The first time we got the Gator out this year, she didn't know what to do. She just sat on it, but finally got it going. She wouldn't let any of her friends ride on it the first couple days, only SpongeBob and her Baby. She has since let others join in on the fun!

Happy Anniversary to me...and Quentin too, but he is on "vacation"

Well, it has been one hell of a day. Adyson has been battling her 2-year molars for about a month now, and the darn things still haven't come in!! So a couple nights ago when her fever spiked up I chalked it up to teething and gave her Motrin and she was fine...right up until the Motrin wore off. Last night was the worst one yet and she had a fever of 104 and the Motrin was not doing the trick. Finally after a dose of Motrin and Tylenol (two hours later) it came down to around 100. We went back to sleep. She woke up fussing again and it was right back up to 104. I gave up and we went to the ER. Apparently it was a bad day for the wee ones because there were three other little guys already there. The doc came in and took a look at her and decided she needed every test in the book. They tested her for influenza A & B, strep, RSV, did a blood culture, and a chest x-ray. Everything came back negative except the chest x-ray showed the beginnings of what could be bronchitis or pneumonia. She also has an ear infection in her right ear (which I had already concluded from her stumbling around this morning). She is feeling fine and is on Amoxicillin. I am also giving her Motrin and Tylenol around the clock to keep her fever down.

So that is how we spent the beginning of the day...

Once we got home, Ady was still cranky, the medicine hadn't kicked in yet, and she refused to eat or drink anything. I finally got her to drink some juice ad she overdid it, burped, and up came all the juice she had just sucked down... Ugh!! So here I am cleaning red puke from the carpet and I hear Shasta heaving in her kennel. I rush over to her to coax her outside and obviously to late she pukes up a mouthful of grass and slimy crap. Dammit dog, can't you see I am already cleaning up puke!!

Once all the puke was cleaned up all is well in the Lease house. Except this is definitely the most eventful anniversary I have ever had. Unfortunately, (for me anyway, luckily for him I suppose hehe) Quentin is still out in Virgina for class and missed ALL the fun. When I called him with the puke story he PROMISED he would take me out to dinner when he got home. I am totally choosing Olive Garden!

Sorry for the lack of pictures, at this point I am too darn lazy to go get my camera from upstairs and load new pics on the computer.

Happy 6 year Anniversary Q! Can't wait until you get home!!

"Party like it's your birthday!!"

We celebrated Adyson's birthday today. She, of course, had a SpongeBob Party. Complete with a SpongeBob cake. All was fun and games until we started cutting the cake to serve it and Ady said "SpongeBob Owwwie!!"
Here's the cake.

We opened presents...here is Adyson buried in a sea of presents. She had lots of helpers to help open presents. She received lots of clothes, 2 or 3 bubble sets, a HUGE sidewalk chalk set, a dress up dress and shoes, Handy Manny truck and chair, a singing puppy dog, a See 'n Say...and probably some other stuff I am forgetting...
We borrowed a blow up bounce house from Quentin's co-worker. Needless to day it was hit in a house full of eight 5 and under kiddos!! Here is Ady bouncing around.

Daddy had to help Ady blow the candles out, maybe nest year she will understand the concept... Quentin did get her to help blow though!

When the partying was done and the "friends" (that is what Ady said, "bye friends") had gone home, Ady was all tuckered out. She her is snoozing with MeMa Carla. It didn't take long and everyone in the house (besides me of course) was snoozing.

All in all it was a great party, and we are definitely buying on of these inflatable bounce houses!!

Random Adyson Fun

I don't actually remember what this face was about, but clearly something disgusted Adyson. :)

Adyson always loves to have her pictures taken and she always wants me to take pictures of her body parts. She always says "Hair Piturrr" "Butt Piturr" "Bo-Bo (that means elbow at our house) Piturr"... This time it was her feet. So here are Adyson's pretty toenails...

And one wasn't enough, so here is the bottom of her foot... "Foot Piturr"

She is chewing (well more like holding in her mouth and making herself drool) one of those nasty Valentine's Day Heart Candies. She loves those things although I think they are gross. She always begs for "Mo Hart"

I asked her what she was eating...this was her response.

She isn't rotten at all...not at all. :)
